Jaune Quick-to-See Smith
Here's an Native American artist that I discovered in my mix media painting class last year. She was the inspiration for my finial project in that class. I developed 4 large paintings based on her style of work but I added figures to my paintings which came out very well.
I thought you guys would enjoy looking at her work. Here's a website with some of her work on it:

Native American Portraits!!
A couple of weeks ago, I came across this page on facebook
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Native-American-Indian-Old-Photos/10150102703945578
It had tons of old photos from different tribes. I founded this one that was of an older Mi'kmaq woman which I thought was a beautiful photo and that I should share with you guys!

A new start to another school year!
I've been pretty busy this summer with my part-time job and trying to work at the studio, so I haven't had a lot of time to post anything new. I probably wont have a lot of time to post mush this year because I will be attending the Craft College this year for my Graduates Studies but I will try my best.
This Summer I have done a traditional pit firing for the first time by myself and everything worked out perfectly. I will post photos of the work real soon. I will be doing another pit firing next month with the class I teach (traditional pottery) i will definitively take some videos of the process. Last week we dug up clay from the Saint john river and next week I'm going to show them how to clean the clay and what to add to it, to make it workable. I'm pretty pumped about that and I hope everything works out great.

2011 Pottery
The photos I have just posted are my recent work. Most of them have a similar theme which is Prehistoric. I developed an interest when I taught an traditional pottery course at NBCCD early this year. Most of my work is fired at Cone 6 expect for a few special pieces which I have fired at Cone 4. I will post some new photos in the near future of the work, I developed in 2010 that I still produce for my production line. Hope you enjoy!
First Post!
I really don't know how this works yet but I'll figure it out soon enough. I will have photos up soon and if you wish to see my pottery in person. You can come down for a visit to The Cracked Pots located at the Soldiers Barracks at 457 Queen St. Fredericton, New Brunswick.
